Resources
1.    Knowledge of Sport industry
·     Value: This is made valuable by the breadth of knowledge in sport that I have. have spent 14 years becoming as well versed and educated in sport as possible.
·     Rare: Having a knowledge about sport is not, in of itself extremely rare. What makes it rarer is how deep my knowledge of sport is.
·     Imitable: This is a resource that is hard to imitate. You either are well versed in sport or you are not. It is imitable by people who already possess it.
·     Non-substitutable: Low. Other people with sport knowledge can supply the same benefits.
2.    Social Tech Capabilities
·     Value: For a venture such as social media management, having the ability to work with social media technology is extremely valuable.
·     Rare: This is a fairly common ability nowadays.
·     Imitable: Fairly imitable and learnable.
·     Non-substitutable: No other resources can act as a substitute for this skill.

·     Imitable: The skill is learnable, but the learning curve is steep, making it not easily imitable.
·     Non-substitutable: easily substitutable, as a client can simply write themselves.
4.    Public Speaking
·     Value: Extremely so, as public speaking is the best way to earn new clientele.
·     Rare: It is not rare that people have the ability to speak publicly.

·     Value: It is extremely important, in any venture, to have startup capital.
·     Rare: There are many investors in the world, but not as many looking to invest in this type of product.

  1. Hello Goetz,
As far as I am concerned I would say that you are right about your most important resource. After analyzing all your resources and following for the past months your posts, it has become clear to me that you are one hundred percent passionate about your business idea and you know so many theoretical facts about it. In other words, I definitely agree, knowledge of the sports industry is definitely your top resource.

  2. Cooper,
Your knowledge of the sports industry is definitely something to help go off of in this business. Although there are so many sports anchors, you still can tell some are better than others because they are more knowledgeable and use better research methods and statistics. Although you said that this can be easily copied, I think that with enough practice and expertise that you may be able to actually limit down other people being able to get this same knowledge giving you an even greater edge.
